As a new starter in USR plan, which is University Social Responsibility plan in National Dong Hwa University. It is a new beginning for the second period of the plan. Many thanks for Professor Yeh and Duma, they found me in a dark hole. This is the first month here in USR plan for me. Everything is quite new and not so familiar for me. Though I already understand the meaning of USR, I still have lots of things to learn. Thanks to my colleague and sweet team, I believe I could follow their step and do the right things. It is said that do things right and do the right thing are all important. I think we are doing the perfect right thing here. I appreciate that getting to know a place is understanding it deeply. Through combining the plan and the local place, it helps students viewing this place insight. It is a great opportunity for all the students here in National Dong Hwa University, and for me as well.

At the beginning, I really didn’t know the current progress of the plan. I was afraid that it will be a drag on my partners if I would not catch up with the progress. But I am so lucky that I gradually get on the right track with my teams’ support and lead. It feels really good that we team up together.

We start some event this month, like we went to Taipei joining the alternate reality game. I realize that a game is not just a game, it depends on what you would like to inform them. What message you want to let your target audience receive, you can design in your game. When you design the game, you need to think about the connect of the community, what you are doing is about the society, the sustainability of the community, etc. We would like to do something for the community through the USR (University Social Responsibility). I will try my best and do as much as I can. Learning by doing always remind me to be empty in order to be full.
