In response to the epidemic this month, we started to work from home, but all the plans are proceeding smoothly. In addition to the online meeting, we also selected a day to test the final Fenglin real-world puzzle game that students worked so hard to make. The final exhibition is scheduled to be held in Fenglin to show the students’ achievements throughout the semester and hold game competitions. However, due to the epidemic situation, they can only report online. Each group prepared wonderful presentations and explanations for their design concept, original intention and problem-solving method of the game. When testing the game, I also found the details of the ingenuity and design of each group. The problems in many groups are well designed and quite challenging.

In addition, Hualien is rich in watermelons. Inspired by the theft of watermelons farmers, we invited Professor Bai from the Department of Optoelectronics and some students who participated in the Hult Award “Fish and Vegetable Symbiosis” delegation to discuss the watermelon electronic fence project. During the watermelon season, many farmers stay overnight in the watermelon field, which is quite hard work. It is hoped that the electronic fence design can reduce the burden on watermelon farmers and can be carried forward as well. Not only can benefit the watermelon farmers, but the same concept can also be applied to different seasons of fruit and vegetable production. We wish that can help farmers take care of farmland and do several things in one fell swoop.

By the way, talking about the epidemic, watching the international and domestic news, the epidemic has really affected so many people. I hope the curve could be flatten quickly and reduce the burden on medical staff.
